Dr. Gilbert Chandler joined TOC in 2012 and specializes in minimally invasive spine and pain management. He is a Tallahassee native and graduate of Florida State University and University of Florida’s Medical School. He is Board Certified in Anesthesiology, Pain Management, and Addiction Medicine through the American Board of Preventive Medicine. His career in pain management has spanned nearly 30 years, and over that period of time he has been active in pioneering new interventional pain procedures, teaching, and research.
He has had numerous publications in the areas of spinal stenosis and compression fractures. His current research is focused on how resiliency affects the health and well-being of patients with chronic pain.
In addition to his medical research, he has been a member of the Georgia Medical Board and is currently serving as a chairperson of the National Committee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation.
