The most common disorders and diseases treated at TOC are fractures, dislocations, and arthritis. Our talented physicians will provide you with a timely consultation, perform a physical evaluation, and direct your program of care. TOC physicians will plan and establish your treatment plan, advise you on medical therapy and schedule surgery where necessary.
Treatment
Orthopedic patients have benefited from technological advances such as joint replacement and the arthroscope that allows the orthopedist to look inside a joint. Your visit will start with a personal interview and physical examination and evaluation. This may be followed by diagnostic tests such as blood tests, X-rays, or other tests.
Your treatment may involve medical counseling, medication, casts, splints, and therapies such as exercise, or surgery. For most orthopedic diseases and injuries, there is more than one form of treatment. Your orthopedist will discuss your treatment options with you and help you select the best treatment plan to enable you to regain an active and functional life.

- A traditional symbol of orthopedics is the bent tree that has been braced to make it grow straight. In fact, orthopedic medicine began with specialists treating children suffering from spine and limb deformities. The Greek roots of the word ‘orthopedics’ are ortho (straight) and pais (child). Early orthopedists often used braces or other forms of treatment to make the child ‘straight.’
